Cambridge quality
Unlock Third Edition (2025) integrates video, language development, and critical thinking in every unit — the same material used in international pathways worldwide.
Teacher Recruitment — Cambridge Unlock Program
We run a structured Unlock-based English program for learners in China. Join us with a clear curriculum, full teacher resources, and a professional team behind you.
What we do
Our students follow Unlock Listening & Speaking and Unlock Reading & Writing — Cambridge's academic English series built around authentic video, critical thinking, and real-world tasks.
Our Mission
Chinese students need more than conversation practice. They need structured academic skills — predicting from visuals, note-taking, debating, summarizing, and writing with purpose. Unlock gives us a proven framework; we give teachers the tools to deliver it well.
Unlock Third Edition (2025) integrates video, language development, and critical thinking in every unit — the same material used in international pathways worldwide.
We adapt pacing and support for Chinese learners: clearer scaffolds, bilingual glossaries where helpful, and lesson plans tuned to 90-minute blocks common in training centers.
You are not expected to build a syllabus from scratch. Every unit ships with teaching guides, media lists, and step-by-step lesson flows so you can focus on students, not admin.
The Program
Unlock is Cambridge University Press's academic English course — not a general conversation textbook, but a structured pathway that builds the skills Chinese students need for IELTS, international high school, and university study abroad.
Each Unlock level is delivered through two companion books on the same themes: Unlock Listening & Speaking (LS) and Unlock Reading & Writing (RW). Students work through authentic BBC/Cambridge video, academic vocabulary, critical thinking tasks, and graded speaking and writing outputs — all aligned to the CEFR.
We currently run Levels 1 through 5 across our student groups. Teachers may be assigned to one level or several, depending on experience and availability. The structure is identical at every level: 8 units, 10 lessons per unit, same classroom model.
Every unit opens with documentary-style video. Students predict, watch twice, and discuss — building real note-taking and listening skills.
Debates, evaluations, and problem-solving tasks run through every unit — not bolted on at the end.
LS develops fluency, pronunciation, and discussion; RW builds essay types, reading strategies, and academic writing.
Each unit ends with a defined speaking task (presentation, debate, seminar) and a writing task (essay, summary, report).
Unlock spans beginner to upper-intermediate academic English. You will teach within the level your students are placed in; all levels share the same 8-unit / 10-lesson structure.
Foundation academic English. Simple presentations, short paragraphs, basic note-taking.
Building confidence. Longer discussions, structured paragraphs, early essay forms.
Intermediate academic track. Debates, multi-paragraph essays, IELTS ~5.0–6.0 target.
Stronger argumentation, longer readings, more complex writing genres.
Upper-intermediate. Seminar-style speaking, integrated writing, university prep.
Unlock Third Edition (2025) is the edition we use. Teacher Books, video, and digital resources are provided for whichever level you are assigned.
